Interviews tell you how someone talks about work. A trial shows you how they actually do it. Here's why every resource we hire starts with two free weeks on your real tasks.
Most hiring processes ask you to make a long-term decision from a few hours of conversation. You review résumés, run three or four rounds of interviews, maybe set a take-home test, and then hope the person you picked performs the way they presented. At 650 Tech Solutions we skip that gamble. You tell us what you need, we hire on your behalf, and you judge the person on real work for two weeks, free.
The problem with interviews
Interviews reward people who are good at interviews. That is not the same as being good at the job.
• They measure performance under pressure, not day-to-day output. Whiteboard puzzles rarely look like your codebase.
• They eat engineering time. Every round pulls your senior people away from building.
• They are slow. A typical multi-round process can stretch a hire across several weeks before anyone writes a line of code.
• They miss the things that matter most: how someone handles ambiguity, asks questions, communicates in writing and fits your team's rhythm.
How our trial works
1. You share your requirements. Skills, seniority, tools, working hours and how the person will fit with your team.
2. We source, screen and hire. Our team in Kathmandu handles the technical screening and paperwork.
3. The resource joins your team. They attend your stand-ups, use your tools and work on your actual backlog.
4. You evaluate for two weeks, at no cost. No credit card, no payment details, no contract.
5. You decide. Keep them on a flat monthly fee, or tell us it isn't a fit and we rehire at no cost to you.
What to look for during the two weeks
Treat the trial as a real job, not a demo. In two weeks you can learn a lot:
• Code quality and judgment on a real ticket, reviewed by your own engineers.
• Communication: Are updates clear? Do they ask good questions early?
• Ramp-up speed: How quickly do they find their way around your codebase and docs?
• Reliability: Do they deliver what they said they would, when they said they would?
Tip: give the resource one well-scoped task in week one and something with more ambiguity in week two. That shows you both execution and judgment.
Why this is better for everyone
You get evidence instead of impressions, and you save the hours your team would have spent interviewing. The resource gets to prove themselves on real work rather than trick questions. And we have every reason to hire well up front, because a poor match costs us, not you.
What the trial isn't
It isn't free labour on a one-off project. Our model is built for ongoing, dedicated work, and the trial exists to make sure the long-term match is right. After the trial, billing is month to month with no long-term contract.
